Dr. Laura Fraint will facilitate a four-week virtual informational  parenting group for parents of children with food allergies. Dr. Fraint will draw on her background as a child psychologist and her personal experience as a mother to three children with food allergies. Dr. Fraint will help parents identify emotions experienced during and after food allergy diagnosis in order to manage parental worry and stress. The class will also cover when and how to talk to your child about food allergies, and how best to support their emotional well-being. There will be time to discuss how food allergies impact parenting, decision-making and ways to help your child develop resilience. A final focus will touch on understanding your new role as an advocate for your child and developing a team of supportive people around you.
